Cheap and good place to stay. But keep in mind that it's nothing luxurious, it goes along with the budget. It really shines for its location, being really close to everything.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Note for the shared refrigerator: it's at the reception, which has limited hours. You can ask for one but they are limited across the rooms.
Our bathroom was clean, but the toilet really smelled like urine (which seems like a pipe issue during high temperatures).
Edit: following the response, I adjusted the review.
This hotel uses all of its income to support the homeless, handicapped, and an orphanage that is next door. It is a very basic, but beautiful place to stay that is blocks away from the Arno river and the heart of old Florence.
There is no room service. If you need something you ask.
The beds are stiff and the pillows flat, but the sheets are clean and the room is just what it should be... a place to sleep since you are in Florence and there is so much to see.
Foresteria Valdese di Firenze. Truly a nightmare that resulted in us having to leave and find a different hotel. Our room was crawling with insects that in the night covered us in large bites all over our bodies including our faces (still …
This hotel was better than expected. The room was large and clean. The water pressure was not strong in the shower but the water was nice and hot. The location is excellent as it's quiet and you're still a ten minute walk into the main tourist area. There's a laundromat a block away. The wifi worked great and there was the option of an elevator. We got two single beds but pushed them together and that was totally fine.
Very cool place to stay in! Loved the historical vibe of Firenze that's reflected in the building. perfect location, very close to the center. Friendly & helpful receptionist..
Would love to visit again:)
I stayed here in early October. The room was basic, a couple of single beds and a wardrobe. It was functional but I was dissapointed that a kettle hadn't been provided to make coffee, and there wasn't an iron and ironing board available. …
Room dirty ||Aircon useless ||Covered in bites from room - god knows what ||Room very ( too basic ) ||Location good ||Late check in good ||Cheap , but not worth it . I would strongly recommend avoiding this place . It’s the pits and should be closed down . There is better alternatives
The room (twin room) was not as it was presented on Booking. Not at all. The bathroom was not having shower box, but just an old shower curtain. They provided only 2 single dose shower gel and 2 small soaps for 2 persons (the room was booked for 2 nights). The walls of the room were dirty, with mold and spider net (who knows when was last time they painted…). The beds were small, not so comfortable. I found also a bug in the bed (daily clean up was not done during my staying). I was mentioning all this to the responsible of the guest house but she was saying that priority to the rooms that are upgraded is provided to the customers that are booking directly with them. Which is not fair at all, as they are publishing on Booking and their website only photos with the upgraded room.
Horrible welcome. Non helpful staff. Extremely tiny room and bathroom. No coffee machine no nothing. Feels like a convent cell.
No car parking had to put mine in a private garage which costs a 24 hours stay.
Location is fair.
My 1st day. Can't wait to leave.
Pitiful but i will surely enjoy Firenze and make the best of my stay despite this big disappointment.
We travelled to Florence for the football so we only needed a place to keep our things and sleep. The hotel was perfect for this!||It's central location was ideal and was a five minute walk from a bustling wee square.||The only con for me …
